Darwin World War II Oil Storage Tunnels was built as an underground oil storage facility for use during the war at a high cost but never put into use during the war. The facility was opened in 1992 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Bombing of Darwin.
Mother’s Day Classic is an annual fun run and walk series raising funds and awareness in breast cancer research. Our visit to Darwin coincided MDC event and we participated in the 4km walk.
Darwin is the capital of Australia’s Northern Territory with nature and crocodiles being its main tourists attractions. It may be not sound sexy and exciting but we had a enjoyable jam-packed 2 days.
